A Caregiver Job 3 C’s Of An Exceptional Caregiver

Caregiving jobs may be easy to come by. But what makes an outstanding care provider who offers quality caregiver services? What differentiates a caregiver that shows up to work and does a mediocre job to caregiver that is exceptional and provides quality care? In order to be a caregiver, one needs to have various personality traits and abilities. Exceptional caregiving requires the 3 Cs: compassion, communication, and creativity.

Compassion. Caregivers need to have compassion, an awareness of and sympathy for someone suffering and the desire to help. Compassion includes having patience while carrying out a caregiver job. For instance, understanding why it may take a client 5 minutes to move from the bedroom to the living area. Compassion also means understanding a patient may be tearful during the holiday season or on a birthday.

Communication. Caregivers need to know how to communicate to a patient with special needs or an individual who is trying to maintain or regain independence. A patient may experience frustration when they used to carry out a task independently and they have either temporarily or permanently lost that ability. In addition, many clients may have experienced dementia. Knowing how to communicate with someone experiencing challenges is a must.

Creativity. Caregivers are presented with many challenging physical and emotional situations. A creative dementia caregiver (one who cares for someone with dementia or memory challenges) may have to quickly resolve a situation when a client forgets where she is or who is caring for her. A caregiver may have to think outside-the-box in order to get the client to eat a meal. In addition, helping a client move around in a restricting setting may require quick and creative thinking.

Anyone can have a caregiver job. Regardless if its a part time, full time, or live in caregiver job, those who need to find a caregiver, look for an exceptional caregiver who will possess the 3 Cs. Home caregiver jobs can be filled easily, but outstanding caregivers will have compassion, communication skills and creativity. If you want to find a caregiver, look for candidates that have the 3 Cs. If you are looking for a caregiver job, share the 3 Cs and why you possess these qualities in your job interview.

Income Tax Relief on Income Tax Debt in Canada – Who Qualifies

If you have an income tax debt in Canada, at times it can feel paralyzing. Income tax debt in Canada can grow at an alarming rate. Unlike our counter parts in the US who often turn to criminal action to enforce non-compliance, the Canada Revenue Agency relies heavily on imposing interest and penalties to penalize taxpayers who file late, fail to declare income or improperly declare expenses.

Once late returns have been filed or past returns have been re-assessed by the Canada Revenue Agency, their first step will be to assess a penalty on the tax debt. The Canada Revenue Agency’s next step will be to calculate interest on the income tax debt and penalties going backwards to the tax year when the tax debt occurred. The end result is that the taxpayer can end up owing more to the Canada Revenue Agency in interest and penalties than the principal tax debt. For example; an income tax debt of $20,000 may end up being more than $40,000 once the interest and penalties have been calculated.

In Canada, a taxpayer can apply for income tax relief under the Income Tax Act. This does not mean that the principal tax debt can be reduced. However, the Canada Revenue Agency can cancel all or part of the interest and penalties.

One way that a taxpayer can qualify for income tax relief under the taxpayer relief provision is because of extraordinary circumstances. Penalties and interest may be waived if an event has occurred that was beyond the taxpayers control and was the cause of the non-compliance. Some examples of extraordinary circumstances are natural disasters (fire, flood etc), a civil disturbance, a serious illness or accident, serious emotional or mental distress, the death of an immediate family member etc

Another way that a taxpayer can qualify for income tax relief on an income tax debt is if they are suffering from extreme financial hardship. If the taxpayer can substantiate that they cannot pay because of job loss, they cannot pay the interest charges but could pay the principal tax debt, payment of the interest charges would interfere with their ability to provide basic necessities like shelter, food and transportation; in these cases the Canada Revenue Agency may waive all or part of the interest and penalties owing on the tax debt.

Finally, income tax relief on an unpaid income tax debt may be granted if the cause of the interest and penalties was caused, all or in part, by the actions of the Canada Revenue Agency. Some examples of this are processing delays; errors in material which led the taxpayer to file a return based on improper information, incorrect information being provided to the taxpayer by the Canada Revenue Agency, like errors in processing and undue delays.

An application for income tax relief is an official process that should be handled by a professional if you would like to increase the likelihood of your application being accepted.

Suggestion System – Employee Participation In Management

Among the most prominent hotly debated issues is employee participation in management. Since long there has always been a growing demand from the employees to allow them effective participation in not only the management but also in the decision making process of the enterprise concerned. While many systems have changed catering to the modern day requirements accepting such participation, there are also conservative sectors that do not relish the idea of sharing the management with their employees.

Growing trend in developed countries like United States is to motivate the employees and involve them in successful implementation of business strategies. Entrepreneurs in United States believe in making the employee a part of the entire process managing the enterprise. They do not like to confine them to small role of task based employee.

Of course till date there is no concrete data regarding suggestion systems where employees suggest and employer agrees. Yet it was estimated during a recent survey that the number of enterprises that have actually implemented employee participation in management through such system counts to thousands though not millions.

An example was EIA based in Chicago that had more than thousand members. It encompassed international organization like the General Motors to companies with less than thirty employees. Suggestion program is not aimed at employees putting impact on the achievements of either the corporate or the organization goals. At the same time, the growth of demands for employee participation globally has been reflected in labor scenario existing in U.K, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and most other countries in Europe.

Yet there can be no two opinions about the fact that employee participation in any program will benefit from the valuable and experienced suggestions rendered by senior employees. At the same time working zeal and vitality of the younger generation would also be reflected in their suggestions. Whether the ultimate authorities accept them or not, it will raise a feeling of involvement and belonging.

Recently, President Obama of United States indicated about budget cutting ideas from bottom up. He also claimed that a process would be established that will help all the employees to save ideas or place the ideas regarding management to the government. This is a massive step towards employee participation that can change the entire international scenario.
